Park Chan-ho of the Texas Rangers claimed his fifth win of the season, and 99th career, in the team`s 12-4 win over the Chicago White Sox in Sunday`s MLB game in Texas.
Park, 32, pitched six innings and allowed three runs on six hits, including one homer. He also walked four and struck out as many. His ERA went slightly down from 4.61 to 4.60. Fifty-eight of his 104 pitches were strikes.
The Korean hurler also reached the fifth win in the second fastest pace in his career since his triumph on May 25, 2001. However, he had some strife to overcome in getting there.

Elsewhere, however, another Korean teacher had a real rough day, as Koo Dae-sung of the New York Mets failed to keep the team`s lead in his stint in their 6-3 loss to the Florida Marlins in Miami.
With the Mets up 2-1, the 35-year-old lefty relieved Heath Bell in the seventh, but ended up meeting only one batter as he gave up a three-run homer to Carlos Delgado, before being replaced to Mike DeJean right away. His ERA surged to 3.95.
