In spite of Nam Yong`s ambitious decision on HR strategy, LGE`s result turn out to be failure. Even though, the foreign executives made LG possible to build global standard process and effective distribution environment, LG fired the foreign executives. It is no doubt that Globalization is essential steps to take for firms to prepare the future. Nam Yong`s intention to globalize LG Electronics is fair, however, unfortunately, the strategy ended up failure because hiring too many foreign executives brought cultural conflict among Koreans and non- Koreans. We chose this case to analyze the cause of failure and to suggest HR strategies as solution.

LG ELECTRONICS HR’s failure is because of hasty decision made by management. Management pursues HR strategy by force ignoring LG ELECTRONICS culture which is unprepared to globalization internally enough. It makes two problems. One is only about foreign executives and the other is
