In spite of Nam Yong`s ambitious decision on HR strategy, LGE`s result turn out to be failure. Even though, the foreign executives made LG possible to build global standard process and effective distribution environment, LG fired the foreign executives. It is no doubt that Globalization is essential steps to take for firms to prepare the future. Nam Yong`s intention to globalize LG Electronics is fair, however, unfortunately, the strategy ended up failure because hiring too many foreign executives brought cultural conflict among Koreans and non- Koreans. We chose this case to analyze the cause of failure and to suggest HR strategies as solution.
